Happy New Year everyone! I was going to post yesterday but there was just to much going on over at Love Is In The Details I just never got around to it. Yesterday marked my first day as a member of the Creative Team over there and it is so exciting. I get to work with the great team of Chelsea and Guest Designer Melanie and have a fantastic "boss" Lori!
We revealed the January Kit yesterday and you can see all the wonderful creations here...
We had a great holiday....here are some highlights....
Christmas EveOur Traditional homemade pizza - this year in the shape of a wreath Christmas DayThe boys made these Chocolates the day before Christmas Eve, it was a lot harder then we thought but they did an amazing job!
You have to pop over to the Love Is In The Details Blog and check out Lori's beautiful Christmas presents!!! Think I will try this next year!
So the boys and I did our annual cookie baking yesterday and they did an awesome job.
We had a lot of fun.
Of course when you are baking with boys always expect the unexpected....
Seems like right now I have the urge to scrapbook summer pictures and use brightly coloured patterned papers. Is it because winter is in full swing - had a lot of snow today, icy roads and frigid temperatures - who knows? Maybe it is because I am so behind on my Christmas cards that if I pretend it is summer I don't have to think about it! LOL!
Thankfully I have the fun December Kit from Love Is In The Details to get me back on the right track!!!
When I found out that I won the design team spot at Love Is In The Details and I would be getting a Big Shot machine (plus much more) I was in a daze. I then spent the rest of the day singing Mr.Big Shot who do you think you are.....Now I have my Big Shot I will be singing Mrs.Big Shot from now on. She is just so darn pretty, she is blinged out and she is awesome!!!! My poor Cuttlebug will not know what happened as he has been shelved.
I am also loving the December Kit. It is so inspiring and comes with so many awesome papers, stickers, chipboard pieces and embellishments that I could fill a whole album and still have leftovers. Here a few creations I have done but there will be much more to follow.
So I have big news....I an going to be on the Design Team at Love Is In The Details!!!! OMG! It has always been my dream to be on a design team and I absolutely love Love Is In The Details. They are an awesome group of women led by the most awesome lady ever, Lori!!!!Thanks so much Lori!!!!Click here to see the announcement!!! http://loveisinthedetails.ca/blog/I am so excited!!!!!!
Well it sounds like a cliche but honestly where did the last month go? It seems we were just celebrating Halloween and now we are in the full holiday swing. We have put up our Christmas tree, made some yummy treats and we even have wrapped gifts under the tree. It is beginning to feel a lot like Christmas!!!!
Another non-Christmassy layout!
Waiting for the awesome monthly kit from Love Is in The Details before I launch into my Christmas pictures.
To see or purchase the kit you can find it here, it is to die for!
Well I guess the holidays are coming, there is snow on the ground, lights on houses and carols played in every store you go to. I am not sure if I am ready for the holidays just yet, give me a week or two! So here is a layout I did from the holiday that just passed.
Who knew how hard it would be to take a picture of Nic with his newly lost tooth?? Open your eyes, smile with your teeth and look at me. Well it was not that easy. More then half the pictures I took his eyes were closed or his mouth was closed, or both were closed....what good is that???? This was his first tooth that he lost on his own, the bottom two came out via the dentist. He was very happy that the tooth fairy left him a toonie and very confused about why she left inside his pillowcase. Okay, maybe she had a bad day and was VERY tired!!! Give the lady a break! Anyways here is the best picture I got, and yes this was truly the best I got. UGH!
So the kids have been homesick but who can blame them? Nic has also been saving his money for a pet fish so we told him we would help him out and split the cost. Aidan decided he would like a dwarf hamster. Hopefully they will help ease the homesickness a bit.
