Growing Up So Fast

Look at you, where did that little boy go?
Almost a teenager and almost as tall as me now!
I can't wait to create a layout with this picture!

I am hoping to work on it this weekend in Miami where I will be joining the LIITD girls for a fun day of cropping, snacking and I am sure a whole lot of laughing!!!

I am lucky

Eva challenged us at Love Is In The Details to take photos to show her how lucky we are. This was a hard one as I did not feel very lucky lately. Then last night as I am headed to bed, another night of missing my husband, wishing he was home and not travelling so much I saw Nicolas. It is amazing that he still loves to curl up in my bed with me and I know these days will be coming to an end soon. So I am lucky for this sweet little boy who knows when I need him and for these moments!!!

Organizing & Scrapping

This week I have been doing some organizing, finally got my stamps into a binder where I can see what I have and found a new system to keep control of my growing collection of nestabilities.
Last night I took a break from the organizing to work on Mel's Sketch Take 2 Challenge over at LIITD. Finally scrapped some pictures from our trip to Florida in 2007 that had me stumped for the longest time. Thank goodness for the awesome sketch!!Here is the layout...
So Ali challenged us over at LIITD to create use holiday themed paper or products on a non-holiday themed page. I thought this was going to be so hard and then I stumbled across this picture of Aidan when he was a little boy. I was so happy with how the Fancy Pants Christmas paper worked with this picture!!! Can't believe my boy was ever that small!!!

Like Mother...Like Son!

I was so happy the other night when Nic asked if he could scrapbook after dinner!!! WOW, that is every scrapbook Mom's dream. Of course I said YES!!! It was so great to watch him sit at my scrapbook table and create! Thank goodness my friend Lorna reminded me to take a picture!!! Thanks Lorna! I taught Nic how to ink chipboard, how to use stickles and even how to use my Big Shot. Of course under close supervision!!!! So here is my boy, and the layout he created!

My Turn

So it is my turn at LIITD to issue a challenge!! WOOHOO!!!!! Our gallery of layouts and cards over there are so amazing, so the challenge is to pick a number between 1 and 1,362 (yes that is how many pages of talented work we have!!!) and then find a layout that inspires you! To participate in the challenge click here.
I chose a wonderful page by Ali and created this layout using October Afternoon's awesome patterned papers and stickers...
And now I have a challenge for my scrappy friends that read my blog!!! Come on over and join us at Love Is In The Details, we have the most fun, easy going, hilarious and talented group of ladies that you will ever meet. I miss my scrappy friends!!! I really hope you will pop by!

Another Day...Another Challenge

The Mix It Up Blog has a great challenge going on, you should check it out! They have an awesome sketch and then challenge you to use a recycled item on your layout. The best part is that you do not have to do both on your layout...it is up to you.
I ended up using the sketch and the recycled item on my layout. My recycled item is the stars you see on the layout below. They are actually those things from Starbucks that you slide on the cup so you don't burn your hand. I ran them through my Big Shot with my star nestabilities, turned out pretty cool.
Thanks to the Mix It Up Girls for an awesome challenge, it was a blast! Here is my layout:

Scrapping Out Loud

Great challenge over at Scrapping Out Loud, the challenge is to scrap Me, Right Now. This was really cool because I never scrap myself. So this is what I came up with...
Thanks ladies for the awesome Challenge and all the inspiration!
I spent the morning with Nic's class and another 3/4 making pottery plates. It was actually really fun, can't wait to see them when they are done.
They are studying Japan so when the plates are done they will be having Sushi on them!
Very cool!
Posted my first challenge this week at LIITD, it is my die cut challenge and the girls have to repeat the same die cut over and over. Here is the layout I created for the challenge...
Eva posted a photography challenge for us this week, have to take pics of things we are obsessed with. This is an easy one for me... Lately all I have been doing is baking...

and never far from me is my laptop and of course it is always at LIITD!!!
