Halloween Highlights

So Halloween came and we were sure shocked at the turn out at the door. Going from our usual 150 kids in Brandon and running out of candy to 28 kids and so much candy left over it could put put a whole school of kids into a sugar coma! Thankfully Mike's sister is a teacher and we passed some treats on to her for her class. Anyways here are some pictures from the night....

Happy Halloween!

Happy Halloween Everyone!!! Have a great day!
This made me laugh so hard...just wanted to share in case you guys never saw this!!!! From the Ellen show.... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T36KFPGkUJA Hope you are having a great day!

Cards

So to get out of my scrapbook slump I have been making some cards. I have found a lot of inspirational blogs out there and they have really helped. So here are a few cards that I have made this week.
*Note the Halloween card was a total scraplift but all the others are 100% mine.*

Books I am Loving right now...

Never thought I would be interested in a book that involved supernatural creatures but OMG the Twilight series by Stephanie Meyer have totally blown me away. I could not put the first two books down and I have to get the next two ASAP!!! I highly recommend them!!!

4 months!

I am always giving my friends a hard time for not updating their blogs and here I am 4 months without a paragraph, sentence or even a word. Sorry! So what is new with me, well we left Brandon on the last day of school and drove to our new home in Winnipeg. It is fantastic! We unpacked our butts off for 5 days and it looked like we had lived their for years! So after those 5 days the boys I left for a summer at the lake. It has been going well but we are missing home, friends and most of all Michael. Summer is flying by as we are all busy working and we are on countdown mode to our return home. Can't wait to start getting my scrap area established and settling into the house. So that is a brief update - hope you are all having a great summer!!!

SOLD!!!

Well our house went on the market last week and is now sold! This is finally starting to feel real. I was informed yesterday from Nic that he will be moving in with his friend and not moving to Winnipeg with us! Poor guy, guess I am not the only one that is just realizing that we are REALLY moving! I am hoping that the boys adjust well to all of this. So now the fun part begins, looking for a new place!!! We are hoping that this will be our last move and that this next home will be our final destination!

Times they are a changing

Boy it sure has been an interesting start to 2008, I guess the best word to describe it is change. I don't like change at all but most of these changes are 100% awesome!!! I left my job at the start of the year and then a month after that Mike got a great promotion and we are moving! We are not just moving we are going home! Can't wait! Of course there are some down sides like the boys leaving their friends and school and me moving away from my best friend Shar. These things will be hard to deal with but we will try to get through them the best we can. As long as the four of us are together we can get through anything!
On another positive note a friend of mine opened up a LSS (local scrapbook store - for you non-scrappers) on 18th street! It is call Scrapbooking at Shelley's and is awesome!!! Nice and open, awesome stock and such a great positive atmosphere! You must check it out!!!!

Nicolas turned 8

Nic turned eight this past weekend! WOW!
Where did the time go?
He had a fun sleepover party with his friends, and his
Baba and Gido came to visit. HAPPY BIRTHDAY BIG GUY!

Scrapbooking

So as most of you know I am a passionate scrapbooker, and a passionate scrapbook shopper! Well I am on a spending freeze from scrapbooking supplies, thank you new furnace, and trying to use up all the stash I have collected over the years. I am actually having fun and getting some pages done!
Now I need to pull out the camera and start snapping some more pictures so I can scrapbook so me more!

Please Stand By.....

Trying to update and change my blog a bit.....having a little trouble! Gotta love computers!!! Please Stand by while I try and fix some problems! And if anyone out there knows a lot about Blog html's could you please help me???!!!!

Place Cards

I made place cards for our table on Christmas this year. I got the idea after my Mom & Dad sent me the place card holders. They are not very really Christmas themed but they fit our style perfectly. I loved how they turned out! (you can click on the picture to see it bigger)

Fresh Start for the New Year

The New Year did not start out exactly as planned for me but things are looking up. I decided that it was time to take my life in another direction and have left my job at Paperbag Scrapbooking. This was a good decision but I will truly miss all the friends that I have made there and hope that I can keep in touch with you all. I have some great prospects coming up and I am very excited about where these new opportunities will take me! Please fell free to call or email me anytime. aidanick@mts.net I am always looking for a good crop party or interested in grabbing coffee!!!!! Amber

Walking With Dinosaurs

We took the boys this past weekend to Walking With Dinosaurs at the MTS Center in Winnipeg. WOW!!! It was pretty incredible, the boys were blown away! Of course I brought my camera along but only about half of the pictures we took turned out. Here a few of them...

Some pictures from our trip.....

more to come......
soon..........

Weekend

We had such an awesome weekend, it was actually hard to believe it was the last one of September! The weather was gorgeous! We signed the boys up for winter soccer and then took off for my parents house.
We fished, practiced golf,(even Mom took a swing-and she was good!) and had a big bonfire where we roasted wieners and marshmallows. Sunday was cooler but we still got out and fished some more, of course only Michael was lucky and caught three fish. I never got a bite or a nibble! It was a perfect, relaxing, family weekend!

Officially Fall

Well Fall has begun and even though I love getting out with my new camera and taking pictures of the stunning colors I don't like it! Fall is the gateway to the awful season.....winter. The only two things I like about winter is Christmas and there is more scrapbooking time. So since I have nothing positive to say here are some pictures I took last week...

Update

Been a long time between posts - but with good reason. Time has gotten away from me as I have been busy juggling two jobs, two kids and everything in between. It is kind of nice that the kids are back to school and we are getting back to old routines but one more week of summer vacation would have been nice! So although I have been very busy there is not a lot of news to update you on, kids are great, husband is great and I am great. There is my update! And I will try and post more often........remember I said try!
